Manx Grand Prix organisers say there aren't enough marshals for the festival to return to its fortnight-long format, after criticism this year.
The racing programme was curtailed because of bad weather - leading many to claim the shorter schedule introduced in 2022 was insufficient and the festival should return to being two weeks long.
But in a statement, the Manx Motor Cycle Club and ACU Events say there's not enough medical and marshal cover, and if 2019's schedule had run this year all practices would have been cancelled, with no contingencies.
The organisations say the new schedule gave more flexibility for longer practices on Thursday and Friday.
