The Island's Infrastructure Minister says he'll do his best to see the promenade isn't closed during a proposed revamp.
The entire length of Douglas promenade from Strathallan Crescent to Peveril Square is to be reconstructed from its foundations upwards, and the work will include replacing horse tram tracks.
The £20 million redevelopment is to start next September.
