 
                            Government will not sell off some of its land in Onchan so that a new graveyard can be built.
That's the message from the Department of Infrastructure which says it has other ideas for land identified by St Peter's Church:
The matter was raised in Tynwald yesterday after Onchan MHK Rob Callister claimed it was a 'matter of urgency' that the church found more space for burial plots.
However Minister Ray Harmer said the burial authority can resolve the issue itself by contacting a local estate agent or the commissioners - although he said he was happy to explain that:
