Chief Minister Alf Cannan says there are no plans for the government to create a Manx e-wallet people could use to pay for services online.
In the House of Keys today, he faced questions on the topic from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
He wanted to know if one could be set up as part of a revamp of the government website.
Mr Cannan, however, said there are no plans at present - but he couldn't rule one out in future:
Passport and immigration public counters to temporarily close
