The Office of Fair Trading says it doesn't have any evidence of petrol suppliers profiteering on the Island.
This week in the House of Keys, Officer of Fair Trading Chairman Tim Glover was quizzed about prices at the pump.
He said the OFT monitors prices and issues a monthly report.
And he added recently the Island's diesel and petrol prices had compared favourably to those in the UK:
