There've been no discussions with the UK about the Island becoming involved in the Global Health Insurance Card scheme.
That's according to Health Minister Claire Christian, answering a Tynwald question for written reply from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson.
The minister said because the Island's not a part of the EU, UK or European Economic Area, it's never been eligible.
She added the Island's been included in some of the UK's reciprocal healthcare agreements with the EU - but these might not be in force.
