Motorists who've found themselves frustrated with slow-moving traffic on the TT Access Road this fortnight will have to wait a while yet to see any improvement.
Government has confirmed it has no intention to develop or expand the highway any time soon.
The road is the prime route in and out of Douglas town centre during racing hours but regularly sees significant congestion.
Government has already said it intends to keep road racing on the island for long term but, as yet, has made no plans to expand access to the town centre.
