Cabinet Office minister David Ashford says there'll be no formal assessment of dentistry needs on the Island before the next general election.
He faced a question for written answer from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about when such an exercise would be undertaken by government.
Mr Ashford says no formal oral health needs assessment is currently scheduled to be published before the next election.
But he says oral health remains a public health priority.
