The government says while it discourages employees bringing pets to work, it doesn't have a policy on emotional support animals.
A Freedom of Information request asked about the number of government workers who bring emotional support and service animals to work.
In its response, the Cabinet Office says the Public Services Commission has a Pets at Work Policy but it doesn't apply to service animals or emotional support animals - and other departments and government bodies may have their own policies.
It says while it doesn't know if any employees currently have service or emotional support animals, it follows the Equality Act.
