The Department of Infrastructure doesn't have money for work in Cronk Drean.
That's according to minister Tim Crookall after a written question from MHK John Wannenburgh, who asked what the strategy is for road improvements there.
Patching work is planned for the next few weeks, but Mr Crookall says the road is beyond patching.
He says it needs major reconstruction to bring it up to standard, but the cash isn't available.
