A Ramsey man whose car tax expired seven months before he was stopped by police has been fined by magistrates.
Peter Daniel Kermeen of Corony Farm was stopped at 7.30am on august 8 on the New Castletown Road after police ran a check on his vehicle.
He said he'd simply forgotten the tax had run out and it was a simple oversight.
He admitted the offence through the coroner, and was fined £100 and ordered to pay £50 costs.
