Driving past police headquarters with a faulty brake light has cost a Douglas man £200.
Marc Thomas Duncan of Ballaughton Lane was stopped by police on patrol on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas on October 2.
When officers checked his Ford Modeo, they discovered the tax had run out around eight months earlier.
Duncan admitted having no car tax - magistrates fined him £150 and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
