Bendy buses will not be introduced on the Isle of Man.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says it’s due to the ‘very tough financial targets’ that public transport is facing.
The articulated vehicles were trialled on the Island earlier this year with transport bosses claiming they could save £300,000 a year.
However the department says following that trial, and independent evaluation, the Council of Ministers has ruled out the plans.
Minister Graham Cregeen told us why the decision has been reached:
Buchan School could become 85 homes under new plans
Flood defence plans scrapped after five planning objections
TT food van needed for trackside car park
Northern roadworks to hinge on Mountain Road reopening
Beer festival to return this week
Dublin to sign friendship agreement with Douglas in summer
Total of 35 properties on council's dilapidated list
Equipment being sold off from popular former bar
