A new UK law which protects tenants against mould would be considered when updating Manx housing legislation, but there are no current plans to do so.
In the House of Keys this week, Glenfaba and Peel MHK Tim Crookall asked Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood if Awaab's Law, recently introduced in the UK, would be brought in here.
In response, she said regulations covering damp and mould should apply to both social and private housing.
