Nine parties interested in making a TT film in recent years

Nine different parties were interested in producing a TT film in the last three years.

The Department for Enterprise revealed the figure in response to a freedom of information request.

It also clarified there is no contractual agreement between Box to Box Films, the producers of "F1: Drive to Survive", and the department.

A feature film was last made about the TT in 2011 with "Closer to the Edge", which was backed by the Island's government - and now a new film and docuseries is in the works from Amazon MGM, to be produced by Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt.
