Next act for The Big Stage announced

Another big name has been announced for 1886's 'The Big Stage'.

The venue has confirmed 'Nile Rodgers & Chic' will perform during this year's racing fortnight.

Rodgers has produced chart-topping hits like 'Le Freak' and sparked the advent of hip-hop with 'Good Times.'

The artist will play on Thursday, June 9 at Villiers Square in Douglas.

1886 in Douglas announced plans for its 'The Big Stage' festival earlier this month - it will hold live entertainment from international big names, local performers, and serve food & drink.

The event launches for 16 days from Saturday 28th May at 10:00am and will be open daily until midnight up until Sunday 12th June.
