New Superstore Headed for Woolworths Site
More than a year on since Woolworth’s closed its doors for the final time it’s now looking like replacements have been found to take over the property.
At least two high street stores will be moving their business into the site, we’ve had it confirmed that Miss Selfridge will be moving into the premises, they currently have a property in the Strand Shopping Centre but in the larger site its expected they will be able to have lots more on offer.
It’s anticipated that Miss Selfridge will take up residence in the downstairs area of the store, and Topshop / Topman will be moving into the upstairs store.
Tophop have a job advertisement for a new Store Manager to work at a bigger and better store soon to be opening in Douglas, as it stands of course they already have a shop on Duke Street.
The advert says it's aiming for an April opening, however Miss Selfridge Store Manager Caroline Gerrard has confirmed that the date has been put back for a July opening.
