Douglas residents urged to secure loose items ahead of storms

Douglas City Council is urging residents to take precautions and secure loose items ahead of severe weather this weekend.

Storm Austen is forecast to affect southern parts of the UK today, with Storm Boelo bringing strong winds and rain to northern areas over the weekend.

Residents are urged to secure or bring indoors garden furniture, trampolines, bins and plant pots before the weather deteriorates.

Council housing tenants should report any storm-related damage, leaks or fallen debris to the authority as soon as possible.
