The Island's whelk fisheries are to get extra protection - with special licenses needed to exploit them in future.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's bringing in the restrictions after consulting with those in the fishing industry.
As well as licenses, there'll also be restrictions on the size of catches.
DEFA Minister Geoffrey Boot says whelks are one of the five main species caught in Manx waters, but don't enjoy the same protections as other fish:
