Dog owners could be forced to keep their dogs on a lead if exercising them on Douglas Head.
Douglas Borough Council is looking at amending the Dog Control Byelaws to restrict the canines from being 'at large' and ensuring they stick to the footpaths.
It follows complaints that some dogs are not being kept under effective control and have been causing a 'nuisance' in the area.
The council says people's enjoyment of the space - in which it's made substantial investment - should not be compromised by a small minority of 'irresponsible dog owners'.
People are being invited to comment on the proposals - the deadline for comments is October 14th.
