The Public Health Directorate launched its three year business plan this week.
Focus is being placed on health improvements within issues facing the Island like obesity, drug and alcohol misuse and smoking.
Director of Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart says publishing quarterly progress reports will make sure they are accountable for delivering what they set out to do.
She says a new approach to public health improvement will be implemented:
