A new book by an Irish former journalist set on the Isle of Man is inspired by his time working in a hotel in Douglas.
The Bar at the Bottom of Broadway, by Conor Sharkey, is set in the Island's capital in 2006.
It tells the story of two Irish cousins who run a rundown Douglas pub called The Thirsty Sailor - which lands them in trouble after a run-in with a Manx crime boss Charlie Harrison.
It's due to be released on Friday, January 30 and is available to pre-order on Amazon.
