Farm buildings in Ballasalla could be turned into a Manx language centre.
The buildings at Mullinaragher in St Marks were left by previous owner Jane Rogers in her will to be used for the good of the Manx community.
Now, language charity Caarjyn Ny Gaelgy has applied for permission to transform the site into a learning centre with accommodation for students.
It says it hopes to create a facility that would attract people from off the Island as well as Manx residents.
