New local government pension scheme out for consultation

Proposals for a new Local Government Pension scheme will include more flexible benefits and new contribution rates.

The scheme has been issued for consultation by the Department of Infrastructure and includes provisions to make it affordable and sustainable for the future.

The Department welcomes responses on the proposed Local Government Pension scheme from anyone with an interest in the matter.

Following the consultation period the Department will be seeking Tynwald approval.

All responses should be received by 5.00pm on Friday 17th February.
