A government committee says it supported adding XL bully dogs to a list of animals that are a danger to the public.
But minutes from a meeting also show the body, part of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture wants new laws governing possibly dangerous dogs.
A freedom of information request asked for details of meetings held by DEFA's wildlife committee from the past two years.
