The Department of Social Care is moving forward legislation following a major consultation on a proposed landlord registration scheme.
The aim is to bring a uniform quality standard across the Isle of Man - improving living standards and the tenancy conditions of those living in low quality private rented accommodation.
The recent consultation received over 100 responses and the next step will see the introduction of a voluntary Landlord Registration Scheme, before the end of the year.
