The Island's first hybrid buses have arrived as part of a planned overhaul of the bus fleet.
Six Mercedes Citaro low emissions hybrid vehicles were part of 16 new buses which have been introduced as part of a scheduled replacement programme.
Officials say the ongoing modernisation of the fleet is aimed at significantly improving emissions as well as allowing old vehicles to be sold whilst they're still in good condition.
Meanwhile, ten double deck StreetDecks will replace 10 Volvo vehicles, stepping up emissions standards from Euro 5 to Euro 6.
All the new buses are fitted with WiFi and USB charging points.
The total investment was included in this year’s Budget as part of the rolling capital replacement programme and is around £3.7m.
