Jayne Hughes has been appointed as the Island's new High Bailiff.
She'll replace John Needham, who was appointed Second Deemster in November last year.
Mrs Hughes has been Deputy High Bailiff since 2011, having previously worked at the Attorney General's Chamber for three years.
She's also spent 12 years with the Crown Prosecution Service in the UK, and as Assistant District Crown Prosecutor in Liverpool.
Her official swearing in will be arranged shortly.
There will also be a recruitment process for the position of Deputy High Bailiff in the near future.
