New green rules for disposing of plasterboard at civic amenity sites have come into force this week.
Clean, dry plasterboard can now be separated for recycling instead of being sent to landfill.
Douglas Council says the change aims to reduce environmental risks, like the harmful gases produced when the material's buried.
Limits to what you can bring remain unchanged - people are allowed a maximum of six small rubble bags per week and twelve per month.
