New cycling festival for the Island

Cycling enthusiasts are being encouraged to take part in a new festival which is being launched on the Island next May.

Isle of Man Cycle-Fest will blend racing with themed events and activities - the three-day festival will be centered at Milntown in Ramsey.

Amongst the line up of events the streets of the town will play host to the Pearl Izumi Tour Series which will bring with it major television coverage and exposure.

Paul Phillips is part of the organising team - he says it's all about boosting the Island's profile as a key cycling location:
