The Isle of Man may not be getting a 12-sided one pound coin - but it should be getting a host of re-designed ones.
Next week Treasury will ask for Tynwald approval to introduce new coins - if approved they will come into operation on March 1st.
The £2 coin will feature the Tower of Refuge, the 20p a Viking longboat and the 50p coin a Manx Loaghtan sheep - the Manx cat will also make an appearance on the 10 pence piece.
This week it was confirmed the Island will be keeping the 'round pound' - the new one will feature a peregrine falcon and raven.
