The government has announced the appointment of Nigel Davis as Chair of the Isle of Man Meat Company, which operates the Island's meat plant.
He'll take over the role from environment, food and agriculture minister Clare Barber, who has acted as Interim Chair since November following an audit which concluded that 'major challenges' must be addressed.
Mr Davis has previously worked for Coca Cola as Country General Manager for Switzerland, Bulgaria and Belarus, Chief Financial Officer for Ukraine and Belarus, and Chief Information Officer for the Hellenic Group over 26 years.
He commented that he's excited to join the Board at a time when the organisation requires a new, commercally focused approach, while acting in the best interests of the Isle of Man taxpayers, farmers and consumers.
