A local charity which helps anxious, ill and vulnerable animals has received a boost to its resources.
Animals In Distress Rescue now has the addition of a new ambulance after receiving funding and a recognition award from Celton Manx.
One of the charity's founders, Fiona Feeney, says to have the vehicle is 'invaluable' and will provide a safe and secure transport for vulnerable animals to its headquarters in Glen Auldyn.
The organisations work includes collecting lost and found dogs, acting as volunteer dog wardens and linking up with police and emergency services.
