The first significant stage of the Douglas Town Regeneration has been given the go ahead and will commence shortly.
There have been numerous improvements made to certain areas so far with the fencing around the bus station and plans in place to give Woodbourne Square a makeover.

There are final adjustments being made to plans for regeneration works on Duke and Strand Street.
Money for the works will come from the Government’s £8m regeneration fund; the Douglas Council has also contributed £2m.
Mayor and Murray's Ward Councillor Ritchie McNicholl has said the impending works will give the area a much needed uplift.
