A planning application for an estate of seven new homes in Baldrine has drawn a flurry of objections from residents in the area.
The proposed development off Baldrine Road would see detached bungalows built on the site next to the Manx Electric Railway.
In the application, those behind the scheme say it would be screened from view by a row of trees, and a new sewer connection would be built.
However, neighbours have sent 15 objections to the planning committee.
The objectors say they have a number of issues with the development - including drainage and traffic problems.
They also claim there'd be a loss of privacy for nearby residents, and their scenic views would be ruined.
Developers, however, point out the site has been zoned for residential use in the 10-year-old Laxey and Lonan Area Plan.
The government's highways division has asked for more information before it can comment on the proposal.
