A court's thrown out an attempt by the Department of Health and Social Care to blame a man who died from cancer for his own predicament.
Teacher Christopher Ian Scott died in 2016 from cancer after a year-long delay waiting to see a dermatologist.
The department admitted liability but argued Mr Scott was partly responsible for not seeking treatment sooner.
It also claimed his GP Dr Gruffydd Evans had failed to record he'd referred Mr Scott to Noble's Hospital, and to keep him informed about the referral.
Deemster Corlett dismissed the DHSC's claim against Mr Scott, but said Dr Evans was in breach of his duty of care and should pay some of the department's damages.
