The completion of this major scheme takes residents in the North a step closer to an entirely natural gas supply.
The pipeline will be supplying existing Manx Gas customers in Kirk Michael, Ballaugh and Ramsey.
Since February of this year engineers have been carrying out pre-conversion surveys of households who will be making the switch.
The conversion of customers’ appliances to natural gas will start in Ramsey during spring 2012.
Two more sections of pipeline; from Glen Mooar to Peel, and Glen Vine to the south of the Island will be completed by September of this year.
