Since its launch 5 weeks ago there are 1,000 properties that have been surveyed and are ready for next years conversion process.
The purpose of the survey is to identify the number of appliances in each household which will need converting; all appliances are then given a full safety check.
So far the most common cause of problems has been flue and ventilation issues, which have been rectified at no extra cost to the householders.
So far the survey has focussed on Ramsey properties where engineers need to see a further 1,300 customers in the next month before moving to the South of the Island.
The total number of homes and businesses to be surveyed by next year stands at 6,800.
