Manx Wildlife Trust has taken control of new land as part of a bigger project for Ramsey Forest.
The organisation has purchased Crossags Coppice, a five-acre bracken and gorse field planted between 2015 and 2016 by MWT with permission from the lands previous owner.
Securing the location will - according to the group - aid the 30-year Ramsey Forest Project which is looking to increase the cover of woodland from 20 per cent up to 30.
The area will be managed to encourage bluebell and butterfly populations, bird nesting and bat feeding.
