CCTV footage of an alleged murderer and his victim drinking together in a pub the night before he died has today been played to a jury.
The recording, taken from cameras in the Bay Hotel in Port Erin, shows 46-year-old Ian Anderson and 60-year-old Neil Roberts on November 30th 2013.
Anderson stands accused of murdering the Ballabeg man after they later returned to his property on Queen Street in Castletown – his body was found in the early hours of December 1st.
The video evidence showed the pair repeatedly hugging, and kissing each other on the forehead, with one witness describing Mr Roberts as being “all over” Anderson.
A witness statement from the barman on the evening described the duo as being “overfriendly” and said they were acting as though they were “in a relationship with each other”.
Anderson denies one charge of murder – the trial continues.
