A row between two mums in a school car park has led to one appearing in court.
Laura Ann Jones of Snugborough Avenue in Braddan admitted driving without due care and attention and using threatening, abusive or insulting language after an incident in July.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes heard she'd got into an argument with a former friend as she dropped her children off at Braddan school at 8.55am on July 19.
Jones pulled in front of the woman, hitting her car, before getting out and shouting at her in front of other parents and their youngsters.
The court heard 27 year old Jones had fallen out with the woman previously, and had beeped her horn when she was stuck behind her in the school car park.
When the other woman shouted an insult at her, Jones "snapped" and drove her car around to block the other vehicle.
Police were called, and she admitted both offences.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes told her the offences were aggravated because they'd been on school premises and both cars had children in.
She fined Jones a total of £500, ordered her to pay £125 in costs and banned her from driving for three months.
