A mother and baby were admitted to hospital yesterday after their flat in Ramsey became smoke logged.
Fire crews were at the flat for almost 3hours.
The baby was admitted to the children’s ward for observations due to the effects of smoke inhalation.
On investigation into the cause of the smoke logging, it was found that en empty food packet had been smouldering on a hob.
