Dog owners are being urged to make sure their pets don't pose a risk to sheep as the lambing season enters its peak.
The MSPCA says the end of February to the beginning of March is one of the busiest times for lambs being born and is urging people to observe the countryside code when out with their pooches and make sure they're under control at all times.
A recent Freedom of Information request revealed 91 sheep have died in sheep-worrying incidents on Island in the last two years.
The organisation is also warning farmers have the legal right to shoot dogs which attack or chase livestock under certain circumstances and anyone found to be responsible for a worrying offence can face a fine of up to £2,500.
