Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft says MRI scans are available at weekends to reduce waiting times.
In the House of Keys this week she faced questions from Douglas North MHK David Ashford about scans needed outside normal working hours.
Mrs Beecroft said if a scan is needed outside office hours, patients have to wait until the next working day.
However, she said the service runs over weekends to make sure people are treated as soon as possible.
