False claims about sex education in the Isle of Man have been raised in Westminster this week during discussion of two e-petitions by the UK parliament.
On Monday, a petition calling for LGBT education to be removed from schools was brought up in the House of Commons after it received enough signatures .
Conservative MP for Carshalton and Wallington Elliot Colburn said petitioners had given examples of sex education that weren't true - including debunked claims a drag queen taught sex education in a Manx secondary school.
The UK government, in response to the petition, said it didn't plan to change its advice to schools.
