A leading UK MP has admitted the country is behind progressive nations like the Isle of Man when it comes to assisted dying.
Kim Leadbeater made the statement to the Guardian newspaper today as a make-or-break debate into the UK's legislation takes place.
She says other countries are pointing to the recently-approved Manx laws and asking why the UK is lagging behind.
The Island's Assisted Dying Act is currently waiting for Royal Assent.
