The Mountain Road will remain closed between Ramsey and the Bungalow until Sunday evening.
It comes the road had to be shut last week due to a landslip between the Hairpin and Ramsey Waterworks.
The Department of Infrastructure says emergency works have been done to make the area safe, but a new roadside wall is to be built to prevent further debris falling onto the road.
For this to take place, the route will be closed until 6pm on Sunday, or when the work is completed.
