The Department of Infrastructure says it doesn't need to close the Mountain Road again tonight.
This week, its workers had been doing maintenance work to verges and repairing a stone bridge wall on the Mountain Mile.
Manx Telecom also used the closures to upgrade communication cables.
The DOI says it managed to finish all the work yesterday, and so won't need to close the route as planned this evening.
