Police have confirmed the Mountain Road will be closed tomorrow as the Island braces itself for more bad weather.
Heavy rain is expected at the end of tonight and into tomorrow morning – with the ground already saturated this could cause localised flooding.
Officers have taken the decision to close the road at 6am – it will then be reviewed throughout the day.
In addition storm force winds will cause severe overtopping around the area of high tide at 12.48pm – this is likely to cause problems in Ramsey, Laxey, Douglas, Castletown, Peel and Rushen.
A storm surge could also cause flooding in the lowest-lying inner harbour areas.
