The Mountain Road is set to reopen at 4.30pm tomorrow after emergency repair work.
The Department of Infrastructure says it needs to resurface the exit of the Gooseneck after a vehicle fire caused significant damage.
It had been hoped the work could be finished today but heavy rain forecast later means it'll now be completed tomorrow.
The entire Mountain Road will shut from Ramsey to the Creg Ny Baa tomorrow but it due to reopen to two-way traffic at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
